Turmeric is a key component of many dishes around the world and is valued as a crucial ingredient in many kitchens. Turmeric it has also built a strong reputation historically in the role of an anti-inflammatory. As such, it has been employed by herbalists around the world to treat a huge variety of inflammation-based illnesses in all parts of the body.

What you should know about Beeyoutiful and MoreThanAlive Turmeric: This is not like the Turmeric you may find on a spice rack in a supermarket! This is much fresher and therefore much more effective. You may notice the flavor is more rich and robust than turmeric you've used in the past.

Uses: Turmeric is one of our favorite spices and we keep it handy in the kitchen. Like many other bulk herbs, we add it to many dishes (salads, meat dishes, soups, stews, etc.) in small amounts for added flavor, nutrition, and fiber. Turmeric can be used to benefit men, women (including before, during or after pregnancy, and nursing) and children. It can be used as often as you would like.

Storage: It should be kept in an airtight container and stored in a dark, dry, and cool place.

Favorite Turmeric Recipe

We use this recipe often with our Beeyoutiful and MoreThanAlive families, particularly when dealing with coughs and colds.

Liquid Gold Coconut Milk

  • 1 can of Coconut Milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp raw honey or maple syrup (Can substitute with Stevia if needed)
  • Tiny piece of fresh, peeled ginger root (or ¼ tsp ginger powder)
  • Tiniest pinch of cayenne pepper (generally omitted for kids but included in the adult version!)
Add all ingredients to a small saucepan. Use an immersion blender to thoroughly mix all ingredients together while it gently warms on medium heat (or blend at high speed in a regular blender before heating in a pan). Serve and drink immediately.

Caution: Culinary Uses for Turmeric is considered safe for pregnancy and nursing, but should not be used as a supplement during pregnancy or nursing. Also those using blood thinners, acid reducers or diabetic medications should consult their physician prior to use turmeric for supplementation as it may interfere with these medications.

I put these in capsules along with black pepper.  (4:1 ratio).  I started taking them for a suspicious mole (now gone!), but I want to continue taking them for overall inflammation.  I am so glad to know that what I but is actually turmeric, no fillers!

Love the quality of this stuff! The packaging made it a little hard not to spill, which we know would be terrible since it stains to badly. But I did appreciate that it was double bagged.
