Proper dilution of essential oils is crucial for safety, and we all know how laborious it can be to reach over and over for a carrier oil and essential oil and make a new mixture each time a topical blend is needed. Mixing your blends in a rollerball will help you eliminate some of that needless repetition, and it makes applying the blend exactly where you need it a breeze.
You can mix your own essential oils in carrier oils to your preferred dilution ratio and have it ready at your fingertips for when you need it most. (ALWAYS be sure you are following good practice guidelines and dilution ratios from a reputable book like The Complete Essential Oils and Aromatherapy Handbook, or personalized instructions from a certified aromatherapist.) The amber glass helps to protect the essential oils in your blend from sunlight, thus keeping your blend at full therapeutic strength for as long as possible.
Rollerballs come with the amber glass container, the roller insert, and a black cap. The roller insert can be popped in and out of the glass container, using a dull kitchen knife to slowly pry it off. Glass containers can be cleaned and reused as needed. We recommend clearly labeling your blends once they are mixed and bottled to cut down on any confusion between one container and another.
Choose carrier oils for your blends carefully since many carrier oils have a short shelf life and need to be used fairly rapidly. We suggest Jojoba for blends that need to maintain stability over a period of 3 to 6 months.
