This was my first try at natural based makeup and I absolutely fell in love with it. I use a little toner on my brush and it goes on easy and a little wet for fuller coverage. Stays on well and feels light on my face. My only complaint is that it's a little drying, not sure if it's just my skin or my environment or something in the makeup. Doesn't stop me from buying again though!
This is the first mineral makeup I've been able to wear. All the others dried my face out and made it feel itchy. I love the look of mineral makeup on other people and was so happy to find this one. It looks SO natural. I'm 54 and this is the first time in my life I like my foundation!
I've always been told I have an olive complexion, so I went with that when choosing a foundation color. This one is perfect for me! I am pale in the winter, but can build up a good tan in the long AL summer; I think Olivia will still be a good match for me year round. I love applying a light coverage to even out my uneven skin, and this works perfectly for covering up light pink spots from blemishes. My favorite way to apply is to tap a little into the lid of the foundation pot (I like the old lids without the cardboard insert better than the new!), then lightly spritz my foundation brush with Laveshmint toner, and swirl the brush in the lid to pick up the foundation. I can buff it on my skin to even things out, and it amazes me how just a little bit goes such a long way! I finish up with the Peachy Bronzer and Warm Rose blush. Love it!!
I tried this shade of foundation in the sampler package. The color of Olivia I would say is for a medium fair skin.. I would warn that this foundation goes on very sheer even when more product is added to the moisturizer. I have found that after doing the liquid foundation technique, the look can be finished off with a dry application of the foundation for a little bit more coverage and for a smooth finish. I really like this product, because I can adjust the coverage I need for different occasions :)
