When I hear the word Fenugreek, I definitely immediately think healthy lactation support, but did you know that it is an amazing herb that can support your entire system. Fenugreek is known to stimulate the lymphatic system, the system responsible for carrying toxins out of the body. The lymph system acts as a filtration system, literally cleaning the blood of toxic waste, indigestible proteins, free radicals, etc. If your lymph system is working well, then your body will stay healthy as a whole. Thus supporting your lymph system is a key to maintaining your health. A low or poor functioning lymph system means that the toxins build up within the body or spill out in other areas which can lead to disease or damage.
Why does it work?
Inside of Fenugreek is a protein called Lysine, which is one of the essential amino acids that help to build protein in your body. It must be obtained from food sources because our bodies cannot synthesize it. Lysine is used by your body to build muscles and collagen and is especially useful in converting fatty acids into usable forms of energy.
Secondly, Fenugreek contains Tryptophan, which is a precursor to Serotonin. Tryptophan is another amino acid that is crucial in the production of Serotonin, which is a key component in your brain and useful for regulating moods. The human body cannot make its own supply of Tryptophan, so you must supplement through diet.
High levels of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) are also found inside Fenugreek, making a great candidate for a immune boosting supplement. Taken in conjunction with Berrywell, D3, and Colostrum Transfer Factor, we feel this would be a perfect addition to the regimen during flu or cold season.
Lactation can be improved due to the fact that Fenugreek contains a diosgenin, which is a phytoestrogen", which is a hormonal precursor that has been shown to help increase milk supply. Although the exact mechanism of action is unclear, some of theorized that due to the fact that Fenugreek increases sweat production and the breasts are similar in structure and function, it also helps increase lactation. Historically, Fenugreek has been used from everything from managing menstrual pain to helping to boost the milk from of a lactating mother. (NOTE****While it is safe to take during periods of nursing, it is not recommended when pregnant.

No need to fear about low milk supply when you take these aromatic capsules! They work quickly, even in small doses. Don't let an uninformed lactation pediatrician tell you that your body just can't produce milk. Try fenugreek for natural nursing support.
Is this product safe for children? If so, what is the recommended dosage?

Child's age and weight were clarified- Age 5 45lbs
I would not suggest this for a child under 100lbs unless prescribed by a naturopath or pediatrician. It can cause low blood sugar in children that small. Although it has been used with success in a tea form to help children with high blood sugars!
